Limburg Biënnale 2026
FAQ
The fourth edition of the Limburg Biennale will take place from June 27 to August 23, 2026, at Marres in Maastricht and Odapark in Venray.
Marres (Maastricht) and Odapark (Venray) have been jointly organizing the Limburg Biennale since 2024. The previous editions, in 2020 and 2022, were organized by Marres.
The Limburg Biennale is an exhibition of artworks selected from an open call and takes place every two years. The exhibition connects the professional and amateur arts. Marres and Odapark invite everyone to submit work. The assessment and selection is in the hands of a jury of professional artists.
Biënnales are biennial art events that can be held in different places, in this case Limburg.
The Limburg Biennale primarily focuses on anyone who considers themselves an artist from the province, but artists living in the Euregion are also welcome to participate. Please note that you will need to bring and collect your work yourself if you are selected.
Duos and collectives are also welcome to submit work.
We ask participants to submit and collect their work(s) themselves . Sending your work by mail or courier is not permitted. However, you may have a friend, family member, or colleague bring it to you. Sending work (whether by regular mail or courier) creates a lot of extra work and complex administrative tasks for Marres and Odapark, for which we unfortunately do not have the capacity. If you still send your work by mail or courier, you will unfortunately be disqualified.
The jury and curatorial team consists of professional artists and is assembled by a committee from both organizing institutions. The jury includes members from Limburg and beyond.
